Forever beta notes: final pre-launch update

A reply in Blizzard’s thread WoW Forever Beta Development Notes – Updated November 2

Kaivax

Blizzard posts its first full beta update since October 15. It raises class damage and retunes talents, evens out training costs and fixes many quests, and plans no big tuning before raids open next month.

Highlights

  • Class damage raised across the game, with higher-level creature health raised to match
  • Training every class ability from 1 to 60 now costs between 206 and 207 gold for all classes
  • Salvation, Mass Salvation and Revoke removed; Righteous Fury now grants 33% more threat
  • Druid Lacerate becomes a Feral talent; Paladin Holy gains Oath of Light
  • Gamepad support reaches a complete functional state; bags no longer auto-equip

What this means for players

Every class has changes here, so re-check your class guide before launch, and Druid, Paladin, Mage and Hunter talent trees in particular. Blizzard plans no large tuning between now and the raids opening next month, other than for bugs and serious outliers. Tanks should note the threat changes tied to the removal of Blessing of Salvation.

The build

The update covers the roughly two and a half weeks since the October 15 full update, and repeats the earlier racial changes for completeness. Blizzard says it plans a larger tuning pass once players level past 30, and that classes will keep evolving after launch.
