A level-60 character one of several healers in a raid, in Forever's raids at the cap: The Barrow Deeps (10 players) and Hyjal Summit (20 players), both opening 9 Dec 2026 and not in the client yet, and Onyxia's Lair if it ships. Long boss fights, several healers and tanks, raid-wide buffs and debuffs, and a raid leader choosing a composition. Until the raids are in the client the fights are extrapolated from what Blizzard has said.
The subjects are the 5 specs whose tree is built to heal: Restoration
Druid, Holy
Paladin, Discipline and Holy
Priest, Restoration
Shaman. Damage and tank specs are rated on their own lists. With five subjects, two healers in the same tier is a normal result.
This is a forecast. The beta stops at level 30, so nobody has played any spec at 60 in a group. The ratings come from the client's level-60 spell ranks and talent trees, the class guides' projected builds, and what Blizzard has announced.
The raids are extrapolated. The Barrow Deeps (10 players) and Hyjal Summit (20) open on 9 December and are not in the client, and Onyxia's Lair (40) is planned. Blizzard has not published a boss list, tuning, fight lengths, lockouts or a debuff limit, so the fights are judged from what it has said and from how raids of this kind are built.
Since 15 October,
Leader of the Pack, Moonkin Aura,
Trueshot Aura,
Battle Shout and the Shaman buff totems reach the whole raid, not just the caster's party. There is no Bloodlust, and the only combat resurrections are a Druid's
Rebirth and a
Warlock's Soulstone.
Every score is a whole number from 1 to 5 against written anchors, and the tier comes from the weighted score alone: no spec is placed by hand. Two scorers rated every spec without seeing each other's work; where they differed, the score the facts supported better was kept, never an average, and a final pass checked that specs with the same tools got the same scores.
No spec reaches S. The highest score is Restoration Shaman at 4.15, short of the 4.25 S needs: nothing yet measures play at 60, so no spec could be called clearly the best on the heaviest criteria. A spec that proves stronger at 60 than its kit suggests would move up in a later version.
With five subjects, two healers in the same tier is a normal result. This is the first healer list; the dungeon list ranks the same five against its own rubric.
The formula is open to change: a different weight or threshold makes a new version of the list, with every spec that moves saying why.
The rubric: each criterion scored 1 to 5| Criterion | Weight | What it measures |
|---|
| Raid healing | 25 | Heals many raid members at once, efficiently, through raid-wide damage; in its assigned group or across the raid: 5. A group heal that is party-only, costly or slow: 3. Heals one target at a time in practice: 1. |
|---|
| Mana over a long fight | 25 | Heals to the end of a long raid boss on its own regeneration and tools, with mana to spare: 5. Needs potions, a mana tool or careful downranking, or runs low late: 3. Runs dry well before a long fight ends: 1. |
|---|
| Tank healing | 20 | Keeps a raid tank up through heavy, spiky boss damage, with efficient heals sized for it: 5. Can hold a tank alongside another healer: 3. Not trusted on a tank: 1. |
|---|
| What it brings the raid | 20 | A raid-wide buff or mana for other healers that a raid leader plans a slot for, plus a combat resurrection or dispels the fights need: 5. A party-only buff, or one useful dispel type: 3. Nothing beyond its own healing: 1. |
|---|
| Emergency tools and movement | 5 | Instant heals, absorbs or HoTs and a strong emergency cooldown; heals well while moving: 5. One emergency tool, or some healing on the move: 3. Cast-time heals only, nothing for an emergency, stops healing when it moves: 1. |
|---|
| Threat and staying alive | 5 | Survives raid damage and add pulls on itself: a shield, an escape, armour: 5. One defensive: 3. Dies quickly to anything that reaches it: 1. |
|---|
An entry’s tier comes from its weighted score:
4.25 or more is S, 3.75 or more is A, 3.25 or more is B, 2.75 or more is C, 2.25 or more is D, and anything lower is F.
A tier set by hand instead says why in its write-up. Within a tier, the best score comes first.
- Talents: the spec's recommended level-60 healing build from our class guide, or the nearest the guide has; a raid variant where the guide gives one.
- Gear: pre-raid: dungeon blues, crafted and reputation items. No raid gear, no world buffs.
- Consumables: the ordinary ones a group player brings: potions, elixirs, food, oils and stones.
- Group: a balanced raid of the instance's size, with the buffs a normal raid gives (both factions' buffs exist in Forever), each player assigned the way that spec is normally used.
- The game rules of the stated build. A patch that changes them makes a new version.
Rated from the client data and our research, before anyone has played it at this level on this build. Where the data stops, the write-up says what it assumed.

Raid-wide totems since 15 Oct, Mana Tide for the healers and the best mana kit lift it to the top of the raid list, just short of S.

Weighted score 4.15, which is A tier.
A raid pays a healer for what it gives the others. Since 15 Oct, Strength of Earth, Grace of Air, Windfury, Flametongue and the resistance totems reach the whole raid.
Mana Tide Totem gives 290 mana every 3 s for 12 s to the party within 30 yards. Blizzard has not published a fight length, so mana over a long fight is projected:
Mindfulness,
Water Shield and Mana Spring give it the strongest mana kit of the five.
Healing is steadier than showy.
Healing Wave,
Riptide and Nature's Swiftness cover a tank, and
Chain Heal reaches three targets, but only within one party. The 15 Oct notes did not name Mana Spring, Healing Stream or the cleansing totems, so their reach in a raid is not settled. It cannot remove magic or curses and has no combat resurrection. There is no Bloodlust, so the totems are what it adds.
It is not S because its group healing is only average and it cannot revive anyone in combat or remove curses. The 4.15 score is 0.10 short of S.
Weaknesses
Chain Heal stays inside one party- Reach of Mana Spring and Mana Tide in a raid not settled
- No magic or curse removal
- No combat resurrection
What would move it: Whether Mana Spring, Healing Stream and Mana Tide reach beyond one party in a raid, or a boss that needs curses removed.
Rated on assumptions:
- Nobody has played past the beta cap of 30, and the raids open on 9 December 2026 and are not in the client.
- Fight length, healer tuning and totem reach in a raid are projections from Classic-era raiding and Blizzard's notes.

The strongest single-target healer and a useful buff bringer, but party-only healing, capped mana and no combat resurrection hold it in B.

Weighted score 3.70, which is B tier.
For a raid tank it is the best of the five.
Holy Light,
Holy Shock and
Lay on Hands give one healer a strong hand on the main tank, and Blizzard has shown
Light's Vigil on several parties followed by Holy Shock to recover a raid after a big blast. Light's Vigil is party-only and needs setup, so a raid wants one per party, and it is costly in mana.
What it brings the raid is a mix.
Cleanse removes magic, poison and disease. The resistance auras are raid-wide, and Blessings and
Judgement of Wisdom help others. It has no curse removal and no combat resurrection, and nothing like
Innervate or Mana Tide. On a long fight
Illumination is capped at 50 percent of base cost and
Reverence at 30 percent, so mana is only average.
It is not A because the score is 3.70, 0.05 below the line. Party healing and mana are both only average, and a raid gives it nothing like
Rebirth or Mana Tide to make up for it.
What would move it: Raid fights that reward one big tank healer, or a way to cover several parties without a setup cost.
Rated on assumptions:
- Nobody has played past the beta cap of 30, and the raids open on 9 December 2026 and are not in the client.
- Raid fights, mana needs and how many Paladins a raid can field are projections.

Power Infusion, Fortitude and strong shields suit a raid, but average mana, no combat resurrection and no mana for others keep it in B.
Scores for Discipline
Priest| Criterion | Weight | Score |
|---|
| Raid healing | 25 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Mana over a long fight | 25 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Tank healing | 20 | ●●●●○ 4 |

|---|
| Emergency tools and movement | 5 | ●●●●● 5 |
|---|
| Threat and staying alive | 5 | ●●●●● 5 |
|---|
Weighted score 3.60, which is B tier.
In a raid, Discipline is judged on what it adds beyond its own healing. Power Infusion gives another caster 20 percent more spell damage and healing. Fortitude and Spirit reach the raid, and it dispels magic and disease and casts
Fear Ward. Its shields,
Penance and
Divine Aegis make it a capable tank healer, but Blizzard has said nothing about raid tuning, so tank healing is rated a point lower than in a dungeon.
Prayer of Healing heals any party from 40 yards, which helps in a raid, and pre-shields help, but Blizzard calls party healing Discipline's weaker half.
Meditation gives half of regeneration while casting. Whether that lasts several minutes on one boss is unverified. Power Infusion is not mana, no Priest gives mana to others, and there is no combat resurrection.
It is not A because the score is 3.60, 0.15 short. Mana over a long fight is average, it cannot revive in combat or return mana, and party healing is average.
Weaknesses
- No combat resurrection
- No mana for others
- Long-fight mana unverified
- Party healing is the weaker half
What would move it: Measured mana on a multi-minute fight, or tuning that rewards Power Infusion on a healer.
Rated on assumptions:
- Nobody has played past the beta cap of 30, and the raids open on 9 December 2026 and are not in the client.
- Long-fight mana and raid tank tuning are projections; Blizzard has published no healer tuning for raids.

The best raid-party healer, with
Prayer of Healing from 40 yards, but weaker on a tank and with less to bring than Discipline.
Scores for Holy
Priest| Criterion | Weight | Score |
|---|
| Raid healing | 25 | ●●●●● 5 |
|---|
| Mana over a long fight | 25 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Tank healing | 20 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| What it brings the raid | 20 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Emergency tools and movement | 5 | ●●●●○ 4 |
|---|
| Threat and staying alive | 5 | ●●●●○ 4 |
|---|
Weighted score 3.60, which is B tier.
Holy's strength is healing a party. Prayer of Healing reaches any party from 40 yards,
Prayer of Mending jumps between allies and
Holy Nova heals everyone close. That helps a raid with several parties to cover. Blizzard puts Holy behind Discipline on a tank, so tank healing scores lower here than in a dungeon.
As a raid member it brings Fortitude and Spirit to the raid,
Dispel Magic, Cure Disease and
Fear Ward. It does not bring
Power Infusion, because that needs 31 Discipline points and its build has 19. It has no combat resurrection and gives no mana to others.
Meditation and
Litany of Light help its mana, but a guide says it gets harder the longer the fight goes.
It is not A because the score is 3.60. Tank healing, raid contribution and mana are all average, and only the party heal is top.
Weaknesses
- Behind Discipline on a tank
- No
Power Infusion - No combat resurrection or mana for others
- Mana harder on long fights
What would move it: Fights that need whole-party healing most, or a long-fight mana test that goes well.
Rated on assumptions:
- Nobody has played past the beta cap of 30, and the raids open on 9 December 2026 and are not in the client.
- Mana over a multi-minute fight is a projection from the kit alone.

Rebirth, the only healer combat resurrection, plus
Innervate and curse and poison removal, but tank and group healing are average.
Scores for Restoration
Druid| Criterion | Weight | Score |
|---|
| Raid healing | 25 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Mana over a long fight | 25 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| Tank healing | 20 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
| What it brings the raid | 20 | ●●●●● 5 |
|---|
| Emergency tools and movement | 5 | ●●●●○ 4 |
|---|
| Threat and staying alive | 5 | ●●●○○ 3 |
|---|
Weighted score 3.45, which is B tier.
In a raid, a Druid is picked for what it adds to the others. Rebirth is the only combat resurrection a healer has. Innervate can go on another healer to give it mana.
Remove Curse and
Abolish Poison cover what other healers cannot, and
Mark of the Wild is baseline.
Leader of the Pack and Moonkin Aura are raid-wide since 15 Oct, but they belong to Feral and Balance, not Restoration.
Its own healing is reactive. HoTs hold a tank beside another healer but answer spikes slowly.
Wild Growth is instant and covers one party at a time for 1050 mana, so a whole raid needs repeated casts. Reflection helps mana, but mana is the constraint. It heals on the move and has
Barkskin.
It is not A because the score is 3.45, 0.30 short. Tank healing, party healing and mana are only average, and the raid score cannot make up the difference.
Weaknesses
- HoTs answer spikes slowly
Wild Growth covers one party at a time- Mana is the constraint
- No magic or disease removal
What would move it: Raid fights with many deaths or curses, or a boss where Innervate decides the healers' mana.
Rated on assumptions:
- Nobody has played past the beta cap of 30, and the raids open on 9 December 2026 and are not in the client.
Innervate has no Forever change on record; its value and the fights that ask for
Rebirth are projections from Classic-era raiding.
