Discipline Priest: Talents

Client build 1.60.1.70425 · updated 2026-10-16

Every Discipline build and leveling order, on all three Priest trees from the Forever beta client (build 1.60.1.70425). Pick a build and move the level slider to see where its points are at that level.

You get one talent point per level from 10. A tier opens after 5 points in the tiers above it in the same tree, and a talent joined by a line to one above it needs that one maxed first.

Discipline builds and leveling order

Discipline leveling order 33/13/5 Guide's pick, untested

Discipline: Power in Light 5, Wand Specialization 2, Mental Strength 5, Mental Agility 3, Inner Focus 1, Improved Power Word: Shield 3, Meditation 3, Soul Warding 1, Penance 1, Renewed Hope 5, Divine Aegis 3, Power Infusion 1

Holy: Twilight Focus 3, Holy Specialization 5, Divine Fury 5

Shadow Magic: Spirit Tap 5

Wand Specialization and Spirit Tap first, then Improved Power Word: Shield, Inner Focus, Meditation, Mental Agility and Mental Strength, Power Infusion, then the Holy talents; the Forever core list is Wand Specialization 2, Spirit Tap 5, Power in Light and Improved Power Word: Shield. Classic's Force of Will, Divine Spirit and Martyrdom do not exist here, so Power in Light, Soul Warding, Penance, Renewed Hope and Divine Aegis take their place. Alternatively, use the Holy order below: it takes Holy Specialization and Divine Fury first and Penance at 43.

Discipline, level 30 (healer) 21/0/0 Tested in beta

Discipline: Wand Specialization 2, Twin Disciplines 5, Mental Strength 4, Mental Agility 1, Inner Focus 1, Improved Power Word: Shield 3, Meditation 3, Soul Warding 1, Penance 1

Level-30 healer build: Meditation, Inner Focus, Soul Warding and Penance at exactly 30. Alternatively, take Spirit Tap or Power in Light instead of Mental Strength, which leans towards damage. Order: Wand Specialization, then the Discipline mana talents (Twin Disciplines, Improved Power Word: Shield, Meditation, Inner Focus); Soul Warding and Penance last, so Penance lands at 30.

Discipline, level 30 (Smite) 21/0/0 Tested in beta

Discipline: Power in Light 5, Wand Specialization 2, Holy Precision 3, Mental Strength 5, Mental Agility 1, Inner Focus 1, Meditation 3, Penance 1

Level-30 Discipline damage build: Power in Light with Holy Fire, Holy Precision instead of hit gear, Penance at 30. Smite's base damage is about half of Classic's, so it leans on spell power; a similar build adds Improved Power Word: Shield and Improved Inner Fire for solo survival. Order: Wand Specialization, Power in Light and Holy Precision first, then Meditation and Mental Strength; Penance at 30.

Discipline, level 60 (projected) 31/20/0 Guide's pick, untested

Discipline: Twin Disciplines 5, Silent Resolve 2, Mental Strength 5, Mental Agility 1, Inner Focus 1, Improved Power Word: Shield 3, Meditation 3, Soul Warding 1, Penance 1, Renewed Hope 5, Divine Aegis 3, Power Infusion 1

Holy: Twilight Focus 3, Holy Specialization 5, Divine Fury 5, Inspiration 3, Improved Healing 3, Binding Heal 1

The "Standard" 31/20/0 healer build, nearly identical to a popular 32/19/0 variant: Penance, Renewed Hope, Divine Aegis and Power Infusion, with Binding Heal from Holy. Beta theorycraft. Order: derived from the Discipline levelling order and the healer talents: mana talents, then Penance, Renewed Hope and Divine Aegis, then the Holy talents.
