Why it ranks where it does on Open-World PvP
Bear is low on damage:
Maul,
Swipe,
Primal Bite and
Berserk, which lets Primal Bite hit three targets with no cooldown. Its control is the best in the class.
Bash stuns for 4 s and
Feral Charge immobilizes and interrupts for 4 s on a 15 s cooldown from 25 yd, the only interrupt a Druid has.
Dire Bear Form,
Barkskin and
Frenzied Regeneration make it the sturdiest Druid, and every shift into Bear removes
Polymorph and snares. In a two-on-one or worse,
Challenging Roar forces several enemies onto it, Swipe and Berserk hit three, and Barkskin soaks, though it cannot kill a pack. Feral Charge picks the fight but Bear has no stealth or speed, and healing means leaving the form. As a tank body with Bash,
Charge and
Leader of the Pack, it holds a hub or flag.
It is not A because it cannot kill anything quickly, so burst scores 2, and it has no stealth or speed to pick or leave a fight. 3.25 is 0.50 short of A.

Why it ranks where it does on Open-World PvP Leveling
Bear Form at 10 brings armor and health at once, with
Maul and
Swipe at 16 to 20 and
Primal Bite at 25, so its damage stays low.
Bash arrives at 14,
Feral Charge at 20 and
Challenging Roar at 28.
Charge and Bash together give it a stun and an interrupt, but
Entangling Roots is usable only out of form.
Enrage helps rage early,
Frenzied Regeneration comes at 36, Dire Bear at 40 and
Barkskin at 44. Bear Form is the form for a two-on-one, with Swipe at 16,
Demoralizing Roar and Challenging Roar at 28. Before Feral Charge at 20 it has nothing to start a fight, and it has no stealth or speed in Bear. Its sustain is rage only and heals need caster form. Bash, Challenging Roar and Feral Charge let it hold a hub.
It is not B because its damage is low, it has nothing to start a fight before 20, and its sustain is rage only, so burst, engage and sustain all score 2. 3.00 is 0.25 short of B.

Races
The Druid’s races as Races PvP ranks them, best first.
Alliance
Night Elf:
Shadowmeld, extra stealth and speed give the joint best mobility of any race, and
Elune's Light is a crit burst, but it breaks nothing.
Skyborne (High Order):
Wind Blessed gives steady haste, but High Order has no control break, no defensive and only a glide for mobility.
Horde
Tauren:
War Stomp and
Plainsrunning give the best mobility and
Endurance adds health, but it breaks nothing and has the weakest burst.
Skyborne (Windshaper):
Wind Blessed gives steady haste and
Skysight a 30 second sprint, but it has no control break and no defensive.
What we don’t know yet
At 60
Rated on assumptions:
- Everything at 60 is projected; nobody has played past the beta cap of 30.
- Dire Bear at 40,
Barkskin at 44 and
Berserk are past the cap and are projected from client data.
Brutal Impact points are not in the guide's order.- Diminishing returns on stuns are not stated for Forever.
What would move it: Documented diminishing returns on stuns or interrupts, or play showing whether Bear's
Feral Charge interrupt holds against players.
While leveling
Rated on assumptions:
Frenzied Regeneration at 36, Dire Bear at 40 and
Barkskin at 44 are past the beta cap of 30 and are projected.
Primal Bite at 25 and
Berserk at 40 or later follow the own-tree order and are projected.- Cat's
Feral Charge is a leap with no root or interrupt (Blizzard's class deep dive); only Bear's charge interrupts.
What would move it: Play past level 30 showing Dire Bear,
Frenzied Regeneration and
Barkskin arriving as projected, or a measured 1v2 hold.
