Blackrock Depths

Five-player Dark Iron city under Blackrock Mountain, 21 client encounters, ending with the Emperor.

High Interrogator Gerstahn

She pulls by running at the group and fighting in melee, and her two elite guards and three Bloodhounds join the fight when she engages. The tank holds her while healers watch for Shadow Word: Pain on the tank and for Mana Burn on casters.

Kill her fast: if she dies quickly, Psychic Scream (a fear on up to five nearby players, 6 seconds) rarely goes off. Interrupt Mana Burn, dispel Shadow Word: Pain and the Magic Shadow Shield, and loot the Prison Cell Key she carries.

In short: Burn her down before she screams, interrupt Mana Burn.

Lord Roccor

A rock elemental that patrols the back half of the circular Halls of the Law. Pull him back to a spot away from other packs and keep the tank healed: Ground Tremor stuns everyone within 20 yards for 2 seconds, and Earth Shock deals Nature damage and interrupts the spell a player is casting.

Casters should stand beyond 20 yards to keep casting through the tremor, and healers should dispel Flame Shock, which is Magic and burns for 12 seconds. Classic Roccor can also put up Reflective Skin, which reflects an offensive spell back at the caster, so check his buffs before casting.

In short: Keep casters out of Ground Tremor range, dispel Flame Shock.

Houndmaster Grebmar

A Dark Iron houndmaster who fights with two weapons. The tank holds him in melee; Demoralizing Shout cuts attack power for everyone within 10 yards for 20 seconds, so melee players should be ready to take it, and Pummel interrupts a spell for 4 seconds.

He casts Bloodlust on an ally, raising its attack speed by 30% for 30 seconds; dispel it (Magic) or kill the buffed target first. He runs away at 15% health, so keep a ranged attacker or stun ready to finish him.

In short: Hold him on the tank, dispel Bloodlust, finish him before he flees at 15%.

Demoralizing ShoutLowers attack power of players within 10 yards for 20 seconds.

Ring of Law

Stepping onto the mesh circle at the center of the arena starts the event, and High Justice Grimstone, who cannot be attacked, explains it. He first sends two waves of the same random creature, then a single final challenger: Grizzle, Anub'shiah, the Eviscerator, Ok'thor the Breaker, Hedrum the Creeper or Gorosh the Dervish. The arena stays closed until it is over.

Each final challenger has one thing to answer. Anub'shiah casts Curse of Tongues and Enveloping Web (dispel the curse). The Eviscerator's Anti-Magic Shield blocks magic damage for 6 seconds, so casters pause and melee keeps hitting. Gorosh spins with Whirlwind (step out of 8 yards) and Mortal Strike halves healing. Grizzle stuns with Ground Tremor and speeds up at half health. Hedrum roots the group with Web Explosion and poisons with Baneful Poison. Ok'thor slows, polymorphs and casts Arcane Explosion.

In short: Answer each challenger's trick: dispel curses and slows, step out of Whirlwind, cure Hedrum's poison.

Incendius is immune to stuns, Gouge, Blind and Garrote, so the tank cannot lean on them. His Curse of the Elemental Lord cuts the Fire resistance of everyone in range by 100 for 1 minute, and he follows with heavy Fire damage: Fire Storm burns an area for 30 seconds and Fiery Burst hits a selected area.

Remove the curse as soon as it lands (it is a curse, so Remove Curse and Remove Lesser Curse work), stay out of the burning ground, and bring fire protection. Mighty Blow knocks the tank back.

Enrage triggers each time he is critically hit in melee (more damage and faster attacks for 5 seconds), and Sunder Armor stacks on the tank. When the Medics arrive, interrupt their Heal, Prayer of Healing and Mind Blast, and kill them first; they run away at 15% health.

Hurley Blackbreath

Blackbreath and his cronies are all elites. Have the tank bash the kegs to start the fight, everyone stand back in the northwest corner of the room, and the tank then attack Blackbreath to take aggro. Use crowd control on the cronies.

Flame Breath hits a cone in front of him, so only the tank should stand there. Drunken Rage raises his attack speed by 50% for 15 seconds. He has a lot of health, so most groups kill the cronies first to cut the damage the tank takes.

In short: Bash the kegs, stand in the northwest corner, control the cronies.

Plugger Spazzring

Plugger owns the Grim Guzzler and carries the key to it. Pickpocketing him, or stealing a Dark Iron Ale Mug or a Grim Guzzler Boar, turns the patrons hostile, and attacking him does the same, so clear the room's patrons with that in mind.

Either keep the tank on him while an area-damage player kills spirits before they arrive, or ignore the spirits and focus him down before the stacks grow. Bring fire protection.

The Seven

The Seven are all immune to curses, and the encounter runs on a timer: after a set number of seconds the next dwarf is released and attacks the first player it sees. Defeating them makes the Chest of the Seven appear and opens the door.

Plan the dwarves one at a time. Interrupt Vile'rel's Heal and Prayer of Healing, Seeth'rel's Frostbolt and Doom'rel's Shadow Bolt Volley. Dispel Seeth'rel's Frost Nova and Hate'rel's Shadow Shield (Magic), and cleanse Doom'rel's Immolate.
