Overview
Tanaris is a sun-baked desert of dunes where water is scarce. Sandfury trolls, scorpids and Southsea pirates threaten travelers, while the neutral city of Gadgetzan offers refuge.

Lore
Gadgetzan is a neutral city that the Steamwheedle Cartel established as a main center of operations. Zul'Farrak, in the northwest, is home to the Sandfury trolls.
The Caverns of Time lie in the eastern part of Tanaris. The bronze dragonflight, led by Nozdormu, guards them and watches the timeways to keep mortals from interfering with history.
