Eastern Plaguelands
A ruined, blighted land in eastern Lordaeron, with Stratholme on its northern edge and Light's Hope Chapel as the Argent Dawn's base.
Overview
The Eastern Plaguelands are a blighted expanse of fallen towns and Scourge-held ruins, with a pass near Stratholme leading toward Quel'Thalas. 
Undead armies, Scarlet zealots and the floating necropolis of Naxxramas loom over the land.

Lore
Eastern Lordaeron was corrupted as the Scourge plague spread. At Stratholme, Arthas ordered Uther to purge the city; when Uther refused, Arthas relieved him, disbanded the Silver Hand and slaughtered the townsfolk himself.
Naxxramas began as a nerubian ziggurat that was conquered for the Lich King and remade into a war machine. The Lich King gave command of it to Kel'Thuzad, and in the original game its entrance is a rune portal in the Plaguewood.
Light's Hope Chapel began as a small chapel of the Church of the 
Holy Light. After Alexandros Mograine died and the Crusade split, the Argent Dawn made the chapel its main base. Those who stayed in the original Crusade became the Scarlet Crusade.
