Balance Druid: Rotation

Client build 1.60.1.70425 · updated

The Balance priorities, top to bottom: use the first one that applies.

From 30 with Eclipse (Moonkin Form from 40)

  1. Moonkin Form stay in it; you can't cast heals in form. Unconfirmed
  2. Moonfire kept up.
  3. Insect Swarm kept up.
  4. Wrath to bank Eclipse charges (up to 4, for 15 seconds).
  5. Starfire spend the charges: each Wrath shortens the next two Starfires by 0.5 s at 3/3 Eclipse.

Packs

  1. Hurricane from 40: no cooldown in Forever, and it slows the enemies' attacks by 20%.
  2. Moonfire on several targets while they run in.
  3. Entangling Roots on up to three enemies with Overgrowth.

Cooldowns and emergencies

  • Innervate from 40: on yourself or a healer who is running dry.
  • Barkskin from 44: 20% less physical damage for 15 s, free and usable in form.
  • Nature's Grasp before a melee mob reaches you: it roots the first attacker.
  • Bear Form to survive a hit or taunt a mob off a friend with Growl.

While leveling

  1. Moonfire on every target in the fight; it is also your pull.
  2. Insect Swarm from 25 (talent), after Moonfire.
  3. Wrath as the filler. It doesn't consume Clearcasting.
  4. Entangling Roots on a second mob while you kill the first; indoors too, one target at a time.
  5. Rejuvenation on yourself between pulls instead of drinking when you can.
