Lore
The region lay at the heart of the Amani Empire, the earliest troll civilization here, which was broken in the
Troll Wars. The Vilebranch tribe holds Jintha'Alor, a former Amani bastion that serves as its capital.
After the War of the Three Hammers, the Wildhammer dwarves moved to Aerie Peak and built their city above ground, bonding with the local gryphons.
The Revantusk, a forest troll tribe once part of the Amani Empire, built Revantusk Village on the coast with Horde help. They keep a pact of friendship and mutual aid with the Horde and have a long rivalry with the Wildhammers.
