Destruction Warlock: Macros

Keys for Destruction, ready to paste into the game's macro window: the spec's own, then the ones every Warlock shares.

Type /macro in chat to open the macro window, make a new macro, and paste the body in. #showtooltip gives the button the spell's icon. A macro holds 255 characters. Each says whether it has been tested in WoW Forever; most have not yet.

A good first macro

Immolate, Corruption, Bane of AgonyFrom level 8

Press three times to put Immolate, Corruption and Bane of Agony on a new target, then use your filler. Immolate also readies your fire talents. Untested

Core rotation

Incinerate, Ctrl for ConflagrateFrom level 40

Incinerate is your filler and hits harder on a target with Immolate; Ctrl is Conflagrate, which fails without Immolate on the target and does not fall back to Incinerate. Untested

Cooldowns and burst

Bane of Havoc on the mob under the cursorFrom level 30

Marks the mob you point at so part of your damage to other mobs also hits it. It takes your Bane slot, so keep it off the mob carrying Bane of Agony. Untested

Shadow Bolt with pet attack, Ctrl to call the demon backFrom level 1

Sends your demon at the target and casts Shadow Bolt in one press; hold Ctrl to pull the demon back instead. A demon can drift back on chain pulls, so press Ctrl to reset it. Untested

Fear the mob under the cursor, Ctrl for BanishFrom level 28

Fear on the mob you point at, or your target; hold Ctrl for Banish, which only works on demons and elementals. Fear sends the mob running into others, so use it where that is safe. Untested

Death Coil, Ctrl for Howl of TerrorFrom level 42

Emergency key: Death Coil stops one mob and heals you, Ctrl fears everything nearby with Howl of Terror. Both cancel the cast you are making. Untested

Summon a demonFrom level 30

Healthstone: create with Shift, otherwise eatFrom level 10
