Affliction Warlock: Macros

Keys for Affliction, ready to paste into the game's macro window: the spec's own, then the ones every Warlock shares.

Type /macro in chat to open the macro window, make a new macro, and paste the body in. #showtooltip gives the button the spell's icon. A macro holds 255 characters. Each says whether it has been tested in WoW Forever; most have not yet.

A good first macro

Corruption, then Bane of AgonyFrom level 8

Press twice to put Corruption and Bane of Agony on a fresh target, then switch to your filler. A DoT that is resisted still counts as cast, so look for it on the target. Untested

Core rotation

Wrack, Shift for Drain Soul, Ctrl for Drain LifeFrom level 40

Wrack is your filler once your DoTs are up; Shift finishes a dying mob with Drain Soul, Ctrl heals you with Drain Life. These are channels, so press once and let them run. Untested

Cooldowns and burst

Amplify Curse, then Bane of AgonyFrom level 20

Casts Amplify Curse and the Bane together so the Bane lands boosted. Use it on a mob that will live long; the talent has a 3 minute cooldown. Untested

Shadow Bolt with pet attack, Ctrl to call the demon backFrom level 1

Sends your demon at the target and casts Shadow Bolt in one press; hold Ctrl to pull the demon back instead. A demon can drift back on chain pulls, so press Ctrl to reset it. Untested

Fear the mob under the cursor, Ctrl for BanishFrom level 28

Fear on the mob you point at, or your target; hold Ctrl for Banish, which only works on demons and elementals. Fear sends the mob running into others, so use it where that is safe. Untested

Death Coil, Ctrl for Howl of TerrorFrom level 42

Emergency key: Death Coil stops one mob and heals you, Ctrl fears everything nearby with Howl of Terror. Both cancel the cast you are making. Untested

Summon Voidwalker plain, Shift for the Imp, Ctrl for the Succubus, Alt for the Felhunter. Each summon takes a soul shard and a long cast, so do not press it in combat. Untested

Healthstone: create with Shift, otherwise eatFrom level 10
