Assassination Rogue: Macros

Keys for Assassination, ready to paste into the game's macro window: the spec's own, then the ones every Rogue shares.

Type /macro in chat to open the macro window, make a new macro, and paste the body in. #showtooltip gives the button the spell's icon. A macro holds 255 characters. Each says whether it has been tested in WoW Forever; most have not yet.

A good first macro

Eviscerate, Shift for Rupture, Ctrl for Expose ArmorFrom level 20

One finisher key: Eviscerate by default, Rupture on Shift, Expose Armor on Ctrl. Spend combo points here once you have them. Untested

Core rotation

Slice and Dice, or Venom with ShiftFrom level 40

Both buffs on one key. Venom is a 31-point talent, so without it Shift does nothing and the key is just Slice and Dice. Untested

Cold Blood into Eviscerate, Shift for MutilateFrom level 30

One press uses Cold Blood and then the strike; if Cold Blood is on cooldown the strike simply fires. Mutilate needs two daggers. Untested

Interrupts the enemy under the cursor without losing your target. Untested

Saps the humanoid under the cursor while it is out of combat. The client lists a stealth requirement, so open from stealth. Untested

Dismounts, then stealths, and mashing the key never takes you out of stealth. Untested

Pick Pocket on mouseoverFrom level 4

Picks the pocket under the cursor from stealth. Keep it off your opener key: it takes the global cooldown, so a second line would just fail. Untested

Instant Poison by default, Deadly on Shift; Alt puts it in the off hand, otherwise the main hand. Write the exact item names you carry, numerals included. The click confirms replacing a poison. Untested
