Known issues as the Forever beta opens
Blizzard opened the WoW Forever beta with a list of known issues. They range from a Barber Chair Lua error and friends being switched off to wrong Glancing Blow values and pet stats missing from the character sheet. Several were already marked as fixed in the next beta build.
Highlights
- Barber Chair Lua error, and character friends switched off on the beta
- Glancing Blow chance and damage wrong for casters, and the melee penalty wrong against higher-level targets
Hunter and
Warlock pet stats incomplete on the character sheet- Escaping Ban'ethil,
Starshards with
Twilight Focus and Vengeance fixed in the next beta build - Guild charters can be turned in with no signatures as a stopgap
What this means for players
This is a beta bug list, so most of it should not carry into your plans. Glancing Blow numbers on the beta's character sheet should not be trusted until Blizzard says they are fixed.
How the list works
Blizzard posted this list as the beta opened and says it will update the post as issues are added or resolved. Several of the first entries were marked as already fixed in the next beta build at the time they were listed.

Create Firestone are missing the part of the tooltip that describes the conjured item. Blizzard says the next beta build fixes it. Reported - On the character sheet,
Warlock pets show no Mana resource, no note of how they scale from their master, and the wrong Health-from-Stamina scaling; listed as work in progress. Reported
Classes
- For
Hunter and
Warlock pets, the character sheet omits the master's scaling coefficient for Hit chance and does not show Expertise at all; listed as work in progress. Reported - Pet Movement Speed on the character sheet shows the wrong base values in yards per second; listed as work in progress. Reported
- For casters, the chance of a Glancing Blow is wrong at all levels, and the damage a glancing blow removes is wrong too; listed as work in progress. Reported
- For melee, Glancing Blow chance is right at all levels and so is the penalty against targets of equal level; only the damage penalty against higher-level targets is wrong. Listed as work in progress. Reported
Legacy
- Pressing Y opens the Legacy System before level 25, and doing that causes Lua errors on its first and third tabs. Reported
