Elemental Combat 0

  1. ConvectionRank 0/5

Elemental Combat talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed The client lists this as changed. At 5/5 it cuts the mana cost of Shocks, Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst and Chain Lightning by 10%; Lava Burst is the new part. Elemental's main mana talent.
  2. ConcussionRank 0/5

Elemental Combat talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed The client lists this as changed. At 5/5 it adds 5% damage to Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and Earth Shock only, not the other shocks. Elemental and Enhancement both take it.
  3. Elemental DevastationRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved from tier 4 to tier 2. After a spell crit you get +9% melee crit chance for 10 seconds at 3/3. Enhancement 60 takes it to feed off its Lightning Bolts and shocks.
  4. ReverberationRank 0/5

Requires 5 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Cuts the cooldown of your Shock spells by 0.2 sec a rank, 1 sec at 5/5 (client rank texts).
  5. Elemental AlacrityRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Renamed Lightning Mastery: 0.5 seconds off Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and Lava Burst at 3/3. In the 2nd row. The redesign: the old talent sat so deep that leveling Shaman never reached it and it was twice as strong as other classes' equivalents, which caused a spell power scaling problem, so it now maxes at 3 points and takes only 0.5 seconds off (Lava Burst is the new part).
  6. Call of FlameRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed The client lists this as changed. At 3/3 it adds 15% damage to your Fire totems, Flame Shock, Fire Nova and Lava Burst; Fire Nova and Lava Burst are the new part. It also lengthens Flame Shock by 9 seconds at 3/3 (3/6/9 by rank).
  7. Elemental FocusRank 0/1

Requires 10 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Gives you a 10% chance to enter a Clearcasting state after casting any Fire, Frost, or Nature damage spell. The Clearcasting state reduces the mana cost of your next damage spell by 100%.

Elemental Combat talent, tier 3, level 20+

Moved Moved from column 1 to column 2; the Clearcasting effect is as in Classic (10% chance after a damage spell, next damage spell free). It triggers less often when you cast low-rank spells (the general low-rank penalty is explained in the UI). Fire Nova cannot both trigger Clearcasting and use it up, and Lightning Overload procs do not spend it. The Elemental builds and Enhancement 60 take it.
  8. Elemental WardingRank 0/3

Requires 10 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 3, level 20+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Reduces Fire, Frost and Nature damage taken by 3/7/10% (client rank texts).
  9. Trial by FireRank 0/2

Requires 15 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Formerly Improved Fire Nova; replaces Improved Fire Totems. At 2/2 it adds 20% Fire Nova damage and takes 4 seconds off its cooldown, which matters because Fire Nova is now a spell on a 10-second cooldown. The client also adds 10 seconds to Magma Totem's duration.
  10. Eye of the StormRank 0/3

Requires 15 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed The client lists this as changed. It is now a flat pushback cut, 70% at 3/3, while casting Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and Lava Burst, not a proc when hit. Elemental takes 2 of 3 ranks.
  11. EarthboundRank 0/1

Requires 15 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Your Earthbind Totem Immobilizes nearby targets for 5 sec when cast.

Elemental Combat talent, tier 4, level 25+

New New. Earthbind Totem roots nearby enemies for 5 seconds when you drop it.
  12. Elemental ReachRank 0/2

Requires 20 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Elemental Combat talent, tier 5, level 30+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Replaces Storm Reach. At 2/2 it adds 6 yards to Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Fire Nova and Lava Burst, and 15 yards to Flame Shock. It also takes 10/20 seconds off the cooldown of Totemic Projection. Elemental 60 takes it for range.
  13. Lava BurstRank 0/1

    265 Mana30 yd range

    2.5 sec cast10 sec cooldown

Requires 20 points in Elemental Combat Talents

You hurl molten lava at the target, dealing 192 to 248 Fire damage. If your Flame Shock is on the target, Lava Burst deals 20% increased damage.

Elemental Combat talent, tier 5, level 30+

New New in Forever; a 21-point talent. A Fire spell for 150 to 192 damage at the old rank values (a fourth rank was added and ranks reflowed) that does 20% more if your Flame Shock is on the target. Elemental 60 takes the one point.
  14. Lightning OverloadRank 0/3

Requires 20 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Requires 3 points in Elemental Alacrity

Elemental Combat talent, tier 5, level 30+

    Multi-rank: see in game

New New. 3/7/10% chance to repeat Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning at half damage, free and without threat. It needs Elemental Alacrity; Lava Burst doesn't need it.
  15. Elemental FuryRank 0/5

Requires 25 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Requires 3 points in Lightning Overload

Elemental Combat talent, tier 6, level 35+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Now 5 ranks of +20% crit bonus each, on the 25-point row. Needs Lightning Overload.
  16. Elemental MasteryRank 0/1

    Instant3 min cooldown

Requires 30 points in Elemental Combat Talents

Requires 1 point in Lava Burst

Gain mastery over Fire and Lightning, reducing the cast time of Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst by 0.5 sec, and removing the cooldown from Chain Lightning. Lasts 15 sec.

Elemental Combat talent, tier 7, level 40+

Changed Elemental could not be raised to its PvE damage without the talent making it too strong in PvP, so it was removed, then returned as the 31-point talent, live in the client: 0.5 seconds off Lightning Bolt and Lava Burst and no Chain Lightning cooldown for 15 seconds, 3-minute cooldown. Lava Burst is its prerequisite.

Enhancement 0

  1. Earth's GraspRank 0/2

Enhancement talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Moved Stoneclaw Totem gets 25/50% more health and Earthbind Totem's radius grows 10/20% (client rank texts).
  2. Thundering StrikesRank 0/5

Enhancement talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved up from tier 2 to tier 1; still +5% crit chance for spells and attacks at 5/5. Every build opens with it, and the cheap early placement is why the leveling order starts here.
  3. Ancestral KnowledgeRank 0/5

Enhancement talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved from column 2 to column 3 in the first row. The effect is the tooltip's +10% Intellect at 5/5, which matters more now that Intellect gives Enhancement attack power.
  4. Guardian TotemsRank 0/2

Requires 5 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Stoneskin and Windwall Totem are 10/20% stronger, and Grounding Totem's cooldown is 1/2 sec shorter (client rank texts).
  5. Mental DexterityRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

New New. Attack power equal to 33/67/100% of your Intellect: Intellect is an Enhancement stat in Forever.
  6. Improved Ghost WolfRank 0/2

Requires 5 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Rank 1: 1 second off and usable indoors; rank 2: 3 seconds off, so instant.
  7. Improved Lightning ShieldRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

  8. Elemental WeaponsRank 0/3

Requires 10 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 3, level 20+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved from tier 5 down to tier 3, so it is reachable early. At 3/3 Rockbiter's attack power is +20%, Windfury Weapon +40%, and Flametongue and Frostbrand damage +15%. Enhancement takes it for the weapon imbues.
  9. Shamanistic FocusRank 0/1

Requires 10 points in Enhancement Talents

Reduces the mana cost of your Shock and Lightning Shield spells by 45%.

Enhancement talent, tier 3, level 20+

New New (not Classic's talent of the same name): Shocks and Lightning Shield cost 45% less. Enhancement's mana fix at 20.
  10. AnticipationRank 0/3

Requires 10 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 3, level 20+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Now 3 ranks of 2% dodge.
  11. ToughnessRank 0/5

Requires 15 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Raises Stamina by a percentage (2% per rank, 10% at 5/5) instead of Armor.
  12. FlurryRank 0/5

Requires 15 points in Enhancement Talents

Requires 3 points in Mental Dexterity

Enhancement talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Now requires Mental Dexterity where Classic wanted Thundering Strikes, so Enhancement has to take Mental Dexterity before it. At 5/5 a melee crit gives +25% attack speed for your next 3 swings.
  13. StormstrikeRank 0/1

    8% of base manaMelee range

    Instant8 sec cooldown

Requires 15 points in Enhancement Talents

Instantly strike for normal weapon damage and increase the damage you deal to the target with your next Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, or Earth Shock spell by 20% for 12 sec.

Enhancement talent, tier 4, level 25+

Changed Moved from tier 7 down to tier 4 (15 points, so level 25) and no longer needs Elemental Weapons. The strike also raises your next Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning or Earth Shock by 20% for 12 seconds. Enhancement's main button.
  14. Spirit WeaponsRank 0/1

Requires 20 points in Enhancement Talents

Gives a chance to parry enemy melee attacks, reduces all threat generated by your attacks by 30% while Rockbiter Weapon is not active, and increases all threat generated by 30% while Rockbiter Weapon is active.

Enhancement talent, tier 5, level 30+

Changed Replaces Parry: parry, and 30% less threat, or 30% more with Rockbiter Weapon active.
  15. Mental QuicknessRank 0/2

Requires 20 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 5, level 30+

  16. Improved StormstrikeRank 0/2

Requires 20 points in Enhancement Talents

    Requires 1 point in Stormstrike

Enhancement talent, tier 5, level 30+

    Multi-rank: see in game

New New. Each Stormstrike can give 50% mana regeneration while casting for 15 seconds, and a dodge or parry can reset Stormstrike. The resets rarely happen on bosses.
  17. Maelstrom WeaponRank 0/5

Requires 25 points in Enhancement Talents

Enhancement talent, tier 6, level 35+

    Multi-rank: see in game

New New. Melee hits can give stacks (up to 5, 30 seconds) that cut your next Lightning Bolt's cast time and mana by 4% per rank each; at 5/5 five stacks make it instant and free. Lightning Bolt only, by design. Blizzard knows it gives no instant cast with fewer than five points and is discussing more damage per stack or more frequent stacks.
  18. Rage of the FarseerRank 0/1

    Instant3 min cooldown

Requires 30 points in Enhancement Talents

Requires 2 points in Mental Quickness

Increases your attack speed by 30% for 25 sec.

Enhancement talent, tier 7, level 40+

New New in Forever: Enhancement's capstone. +30% attack speed for 25 seconds (the tooltip no longer covers casting speed). It needs Mental Quickness 2/2 first, so both the build and the leveling order plan for that.

Restoration 0

  1. Improved Healing WaveRank 0/5

Restoration talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

  2. Tidal FocusRank 0/5

Restoration talent, tier 1, level 10+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed In the first row (it swapped places with Totemic Focus). At 5/5 it cuts healing mana cost by 5% and adds 5% hit chance. Resto splits its points here, and the leveling order takes it for the cheaper heals.
  3. MindfulnessRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

New New. 17/33/50% of your mana regeneration continues while casting.
  4. Natural GraceRank 0/3

Requires 5 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Renamed from Healing Grace and in row 2 so Elemental can reach it; at 3/3 it cuts the threat of your spells by 15%, now all spells.
  5. Totemic FocusRank 0/5

Requires 5 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed In the Restoration tree. Blizzard's deep dive added the Totemic Projection and Call-spell discount. In the second row, so it needs 5 Restoration points first (Tidal Focus 5/5 is the usual way). Also cheapens Call of the Elements and Totemic Projection.
  6. Improved ReincarnationRank 0/2

Requires 5 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 2, level 15+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Also raises maximum health, by 4% at 2/2, on top of the cooldown cut.
  7. Ancestral HealingRank 0/3

Requires 10 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 3, level 20+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved from tier 2 to tier 3. A critical heal raises the target's armor by 25% for 15 seconds. Both Restoration builds take all three ranks.
  8. Healing FocusRank 0/3

Requires 10 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 3, level 20+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Down to 3 ranks (Classic 5), so each rank is bigger: 70% chance to avoid damage interruption on healing spells at 3/3. Resto 60 takes all three; Resto 30 takes one.
  9. Water ShieldRank 0/1

    Instant

Requires 10 points in Restoration Talents

The caster is surrounded by 3 globes of water. When a spell, melee, or ranged attack hits the caster or when one of the caster's spells gets a critical result, 2% of maximum mana is restored to the caster, expending one water globe. Only one globe will activate every few seconds. Lasts 10 min.

Only one Elemental Shield can be active on the Shaman at any one time.

Restoration talent, tier 3, level 20+

New New in Forever. A third Elemental Shield: three globes that each restore 2% of maximum mana when you are hit or land a critical heal, rate-limited, lasting 10 minutes. It is Restoration's mana fix and the leveling order takes it.
  10. Tidal MasteryRank 0/5

Requires 15 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Moved from column 3 to column 1. At 5/5 it adds 5% critical effect to healing spells; it no longer affects Lightning spells. Both Resto builds take it.
  11. Restorative TotemsRank 0/5

Requires 15 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 4, level 25+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed The client lists this as changed. At 5/5 Mana Spring Totem is 25% stronger and Healing Stream Totem 50% stronger (the Healing Stream bonus was doubled). The Healing Stream bonus applies to the whole totem, not only its base value. Mana Tide Totem no longer needs it, so Resto 60 takes it for the totem bonuses only.
  12. Mana Tide TotemRank 0/1

    60 Mana

    Instant5 min cooldown

Requires 15 points in Restoration Talents

Summons a Mana Tide Totem with 5 health at the feet of the caster for 12 sec that restores 290 mana every 3 seconds to group members within 30 yards.

Restoration talent, tier 4, level 25+

Changed Moved from tier 7 to tier 4 and no longer needs Restorative Totems, so one point at level 25 gets it. Rank 4 (level 58) restores 290 mana every 3 seconds for 12 seconds to group members within 30 yards; rank 1 restores 88.
  13. Healing WayRank 0/3

Requires 20 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 5, level 30+

    Multi-rank: see in game

Changed Now a flat 8/17/25% on Healing Wave instead of a stacking buff. Riptide needs it at 3/3.
  14. Nature's SwiftnessRank 0/1

    Instant3 min cooldown

Requires 20 points in Restoration Talents

When activated, your next Nature spell with a casting time less than 10 sec. becomes an instant cast spell.

Restoration talent, tier 5, level 30+

  15. PurificationRank 0/5

Requires 25 points in Restoration Talents

Restoration talent, tier 6, level 35+

    Multi-rank: see in game

  16. RiptideRank 0/1

    385 Mana40 yd range

    Instant6 sec cooldown

Requires 30 points in Restoration Talents

Requires 3 points in Healing Way

Heals a friendly target for 799 to 883, an additional 805 over 15 sec, and increases the effectiveness of your Chain Heal casts directly on that target by 25%.

Restoration talent, tier 7, level 40+

New New in Forever: Restoration's capstone. It heals a friendly target for 486 to 534 plus 445 over 15 seconds, and makes your Chain Heal on that target 25% stronger. It needs Healing Way 3/3 first.

Effects

Each talent you take is listed here with what it gives you at its rank.
