About WoW Forever DB

How the guides are written

Spell levels, ranks, tooltips and the talent trees come from the beta client's own data (build 1.60.1.70450). Builds, rotations, routes and advice are our own, checked against Blizzard's posts and patch notes and tested in the beta where we can.

Each guide describes its class as it plays now. What changed on the way, patch by patch, is on the class's changes page.

How sure is each claim?

Outlined labels say how sure a claim is:

• Live in beta in a beta build, with its date
• Announced Blizzard said so; not in a build yet
• Unconfirmed in client data only, not yet confirmed in game
• Rumoured not confirmed by Blizzard or the client
• Classic Classic Era behaviour no Forever source confirms or contradicts

Found a mistake?

Tell us at corrections@wowfdb.com: the page, what it says, and what you saw in game, with the build if you know it. The address of this page ends with the page you came from; copy it into your note. A security problem with the site itself goes to the address in security.txt.

Tooltips

Hover, focus or tap any spell, ability, talent or racial to see the game's own tooltip: cost, range, cast time, cooldown, requirements and description, rendered from the same client data. A talent with several ranks shows its ranks and requirements with our note, but not the client's per-rank text. Where the client's text cannot be worked out it is left out, never guessed: check those in game.

Privacy

This site sets no cookies and shows no ads. The only things it loads from another site are:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or fingerprinting, and collects no personal data.
• Google's video player, which plays Blizzard's own WoW Forever videos on the news pages that show one, in its privacy-enhanced mode, which loads only when you scroll to a video and sets cookies.

The only thing it remembers is your race, faction and level choices, kept in your own browser.

The share buttons under each page are plain links. Nothing is sent to a social network until you click one, which opens that network's own page with this page's address and title filled in, and nothing else.
